Jetfix 5-a-Side Indoor Competition for Boys & Girls
1. (a) Each game is to be played between two teams of five players. Three substitutes will be allowed will be allowed
at any time. A substituted player may return to the game should a team be unable, through injury, to field five
players.
(b) One player of each each team must be the goalkeeper, whose dress must be distinct from the of the other
players and the referee.
(c) Players shall wear training shoes or plimsolls (with non marking soles) and shin pads.
(d) Size 4 ball only to be used
(e) Duration of matches will be consist of two periods of 5 (five) minutes, with teams changing straight round at
half-rime or a single period of 10 (ten) minutes.
2. The time of game may be controlled by either the referee or by an independent timekeeper, as considered
Appropriate.
3. (a) Play is started by the refereeing dropping the ball on the centre-spot between one player of each team. The
ball must reach the floor before it is in play.
(b) After a goal is scored, play is restarted in the same way.
4. (a) The ball shall not intentionally be played above head height. Infringement of this rule will result in an indirect
free-kick being awarded to the opposing team where the ball was last played.
(b) Should a goalkeeper propel the ball above head height in the course of making a save, and t travels out of play,
the game will be restarted by a roll-in corner to the opposing team.
5. (a) Only the goalkeeper is allowed inside the goal area.
(b) Defending players entering this area intentionally, and seeking to gain an advantage, will be penalised by a
penalty kick.
6. There are no offsides.
7 (a) The goalkeeper must not come out of his goal area and play the ball. If infringed a penalty shall be awarded.
(b) The goalkeeper must release the ball into play by rolling it underarm out of his/her area expect if the goalkeeper
receives it from one one his/her own players in a deliberate back pass situation. Infringement will result in an
Indirect free kick to be taken two metres outside the goal area.
(c) With a deliberate back pass the normal rule applies. The goalkeeper must not handle the ball and may only
kick the ball back into play. Infringement will result in an indirect free kick to be taken two metres outside to
goal area.
(d) When a goalkeeper passes the ball to one of his/her colleagues, he cannot receive the ball directly back from
that player - it has to be a third party. If this rule is infringed, an indirect free kick shall be awarded two
metres outside the goal area.
8. Ideally, the pitch will be surround by a rebound surface, off which the ball can be played without penalty. If
such a surface is not available, or the ball is played over the surround without playing rules being infringed, the
ball shall be returned into play by a roll-in by the opposing team.
9. (a) Players must stand at least two metres from the ball when an opponent is taking a free kick.
(b) In the event of a free kick being, awarded immediately adjacent to any rebound surface, the ball shall be
moved until it is two metres from the the rebound surface, but not nearer to the opponents goal.
(c) In the event of a free-kick being awarded inside the goal area, or within two metres of its boundary line, it shall
be taken from a position two metres outside the goal area.
(d) In the event of a penalty kick being awarded, the kicker may not take more than two steps in taking the kick.
10. Sliding tackles will be defined as dangerous play.
