GMCSFA Inter Association Cup Competition
INTRODUCTION
The rules stated below shall be in addition to those entitled “General Competition Rules”.
1. COMPETITION NAMES
GMCSFA COUNTY CUP & WOODHEAD Under 15 Inter Association League “Boys”
GMCSFA TALBOT CUP Under 14 Inter Association League
2. ENTRIES
(a) The trophy shall be offered for annual competition amongst the affiliated Local Associations who provide football
for secondary age boys.
(b) An entry fee may be charged to enter this competition. The amount of such fee will be determined by Council and
notified to all participants.
3. ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
(a) Only bona-fide scholars receiving full-time education in accordance with the Education Acts, who are on the roll of a
school affiliated to the local Association.
(b) Under 15 must be over the age of 13 years and under the age of 15 years at midnight between the previous 31st
August and 1st September shall be allowed to take apart in this competition. (Y9/Y10)
(c) Under 14 must be over the age of 12 years and under the age of 14 years at midnight between the previous 31st
August and 1st September shall be allowed to take apart in this competition. (Y8/Y9)
(d) A boy shall not play for more than one Association in this competition during any season, except by permission of
the Council.
4. THE COMPETITION
(a) The matches shall be played on a single ties basis. Matches shall take precedence over all other fixtures with
exception of ESFA Trophy.
(b) Entries for the following season must be submitted on or before the date of the Annual General Meeting.
(c) All Association must notify the relevant competition coordinator, the person responsible for sending in the results.
(d) The Association secretaries that have been drawn at home are responsible for contact their opponents at least 7
working days in advance.
(e) Matches dates shall be set by the competition coordinator. Fixtures maybe played before the official date by mutual
consent where it does not effect another fixture.
(f) On completion of the tie the Home Association are responsible for reporting the result to their relevant competition
coordinators within 24 hours. Failure by the Home Association to comply and therefore, will be reported to the
competition committee.
5. DURATION OF MATCHES
Under 15 - 40 minutes each way
Under 14 - 35 minutes each way
All cup ties must be played to a result. Competition rules may provide for two further equal periods, not exceeding
10 minutes each to be played. In the event of a drawn game and no goals being scored during the extra time period,
then the winners shall be decided by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark, in accordance with the Laws of the
Game.
